  • Jen H - MassageJen H — Massage

Jen Hudyma has always had a passion for learning, and a nurturing spirit.  Growing up in Montana gave Jen a deep appreciation for the connection that exists between all creatures and the earth.  After receiving a B.A. in Anthropology, and a B.S. in History, Jen spent 6 months in the forest in Argentina, studying the behavior of capuchin monkeys.  This experience, paired with a deep appreciation for Eastern world-views and healing modalities, brought Jen to Portland, and to East West College.  Jen’s always had an interest in the ways people, and our fellow creatures, bond with one another, and create space for themselves to grow, learn, and heal.  She believes her role as a massage therapist is to lead others to this space, and to facilitate the process of becoming self-aware.  All creatures on this earth have the need for healthy touch, and for the knowledge that they are safe and able to be well in their bodies, and minds.  The energy that moves through us, and through the universe, can become stagnant if it is not tended to, and enriched through our daily experiences.

Becoming licensed in 2011 was the first step in Jen’s journey as an LMT.  Jen looks forward to a lifetime of learning, and helping her clients to find healing, and peace within their bodies and minds.  Each session is tailored to the specific needs of the client, incorporating Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial release, PNF, Reflexology, and Thai techniques.  She has a love for Thai massage, with future plans to go to Thailand and further study the healing philosophy, and the energetic techniques that are so intertwined with all bodywork.

  • Nicole - MassageNicole — Massage

I’m a recent graduate of East West College, and before that I practiced as a certified massage therapist for 3 years in California at a day spa. I’m excited to utilize the new found knowledge that I have brewing in my head and tingling at my fingertips to help heal, educate and empower clients on their path towards a healthy body, mind and spirit.

Deep tissue and Swedish are my main tools that I blend and mix with Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Tui Na, Hot Stones, Reflexology and Reiki. I’m really interested in utilizing a perspective that sees energy deficiencies and structural compensatory patterns to treat the client as a whole. I have a good intuition and a kind, compassionate heart. These qualities drive my priorities to help people and continue to evolve as a therapist. My goal is to build a bond with my clients, working with and truly listening to their needs and their bodies needs. The other aspect of my goal is to encourage my clients to take an active role in their healing through education, exercising, stretching and self-massaging tools as ways to enhance the healing and balancing process for them in-between sessions.
